Product Review: Always Bikini Perfect from Phillips

Hey Lollipops,

Let's get this straight. I'm part Italian. I grew up with a love of olive oil before it was trendy (feel free to make a meme of my photo with hipster glasses), knowing who the members of the Rat Pack were by the time I was in the third grade and a disdain for Olive Garden.    Regardless of what percentage is in your bloodline, you may have had to deal with this: Varying degrees of hairiness.  I use hair removing products so that I can look like I am from my native California and not a resident of the planet Kashyyyk (brownie points to whoever gets that reference). I wax, but my wallet won't always allow for that.  

Since 2009, I have used the Always Bikini Perfect from Philips when I go down under. No, I am not talking about Australia. It is a durable, high-quality product, being that my first copy of it lasted for six years, with my replacing it only a few weeks ago.  Always Bikini Perfect comes with four different heads and two combs, one for eyebrow trimming and one for precision bikini trimming if you disagree with my more glabrous Brazilian bikini style but want to keep it neat regardless.

  One head is the epilator which "grabs hair by the roots so it's gone for weeks." This is of no use to me. When I shave my legs and underarms, I am sticking to my daily, pain-free habit of using my Venus razor, which I have rarely cut myself with.  I used this and I bled.

      The micro shaver is billed as a "hypo-allergenic foil for hyper-smooth skin." I used this right after using the precision trimmer and got results that I was very satisfied with. 

     The micro trimmer is essentially the little sister of the precision trimmer; apparently it is to make it "easy to tame and shape your eyebrows". After using this attachment, I am leaving my eyebrow grooming to my Sally Hansen tweezers and to the lovely ladies at the threading salon that I frequent.

     The precision trimmer is the attachment I use the most, the advertisement on amazon.com claims that it "grooms the bikini line with precision and comfort," which is certainly a statement I agree with.
